This varies depending on the property you are signing for, the deposit amount for each property is indicated on our website.
We collect rent on the 1st of every month.
Please call us 0114 272 5773, we’ll be happy to discuss a manageable payment plan with you.
We collect rent by standing order. You simply need to complete a standing order mandate and hand it into your bank. They will then set up the payment instuction.
If you are moving into a managed property, your deposit will be protected with the Deposit Protection Service. Once you have paid your deposit, you will receive confirmation from the relevant Deposit Scheme by email within 28 days. You must keep this email as it contains important information that you’ll need to get your deposit back. Alternatively, your landlord may protect your deposit if you are living in a property that Fit Property does not manage. Either way, we will advise you at the point of viewing the property.

No, you can move in on any day after the start date on your tenancy agreement. Subject to availability of move in appointments.
There are a few documents we will need you to sign, including a full inventory for the property and you will be issued with the keys and a move in pack. If you have any questions about the property this would be an ideal opportunity.
Once the referencing process and all the paperwork has been successfully completed, one of the team will contact you to discuss the next steps. If you are moving into a property managed by Fit Property, we will book a move in appointment. The appointment will take place at the Fit Property office. If you are moving into a property that your landlord manages, their contact details will be provided for you to contact them direct and arrange key collection.

We aim to resolve all maintenance issues as soon as possible. If for any reason a maintenance issue takes longer to resolve, one of our team will update you and your housemates.
We kindly ask that all maintenance issues are reported via Property Cloud. This will be discussed at your move-in appointment. Alternatively, we ask that you email your designated property manager with the details of the repair. If your maintenance issue is an emergency please call the office on 0114 2725773.
